Dear Friends
We are creating a short dance film of the 2013 creation Being and Nothingness (Part 1),
set on Greta Hodgkinson and choreographed by Guillaume Côté. The film
will be directed by award winning director Alejandro Alvarez.
Being and Nothingness (Part 1), is
an ideal piece to be viewed on video, with its delicate movement and
subtle nuances. By filming this amazing collaboration of two great
artists, we will be able to give access to the work to anyone, anywhere
through the universal medium of Itunes and Vimeo. In addition, it is our hope that the film will be viewed in Film Festivals around the world.
To
deliver the piece, we have teamed up with Crystal Ballet, a company
based in the UK committed to bringing a new perspective to the
traditional art form by producing online high quality dance content.
We
all know the reality of the arts industry and the difficulty of sharing
our work with the masses. We have created a KICKSTARTER campaign in
the hopes that this can be a project produced by many and enjoyed by
even more.

Update from the Being and Nothingness Kickstarter campaign
Primary goal reached!
Thanks to the support of our first 56 generous backers, we have reached our primary goal in only 16 days! We are extremely grateful for this vote of confidence and we do not take the faith you have put in this project lightly.
But we don't
have to finish yet ! With 14 days left in the campaign, we have a great
opportunity to set our sights on our secondary goal of making this
project even more amazing. Kickstarter's guidelines advise you to set
an initial goal with the minimum amount needed to start your project -
in our case $14,900.
Our secondary goal of $7,500 is to add the services of a Production Manager, Hair and Make-up artist and enhance the lighting equipment, bringing our total funds to $22,400. This would also cover us for the entry fees of film festivals around the world, allowing us to share this film with many more people.
So please don't think any extra support will be wasted. We still have the opportunity and time to make this film as brilliant as it can be!
